Designs that delight!
Here at Elm Tree Centre, our pottery studios have been in operation since 1957 with two generations of resident potters. We offer many different styles and glazes, that have been developed over the years as functional home décor. The clay used in our pottery is microwave and ovenproof. Some pieces are available by commission only.
Martha’s Signature collection is developed from an early Canadian pioneer design featuring a black iridescent glaze with subtle tones of blue and copper. The pie plates in this collection were featured in a New York Times article and cookbook.
This pottery replicates redware that was made locally in the early 1800’s. Martha’s Reproduction Redware is being used by museums in their working pottery displays in Historic Fort George, Historic Fort York, Dundurn Castle, Upper Canada Village and many other museums across Canada.
This stoneware uses simple designs from early Canadian crockery. This beautiful pottery line was featured in Country Living Magazine August 1985.
Using ancient techniques this pottery line brings a splash of colour into your home. These pieces complement both traditional and contemporary settings.
