Therapeutic Touch®

Therapeutic Touch is a healing modality that was developed in 1972 by Dolores Krieger Ph.D., RN. and her mentor Dora Kunz. Used worldwide, it is a process that mobilizes the energy field around the body for the purpose of assisting physical, emotional and mental healing. Practiced by nurses, hospice workers, lay practitioners and other health care professionals, it is complementary to standard medical care. It is useful in pre-operative and post-operative situations, also to promote healing in wounds, burns/fractures, flu, pain management, migraines, stress, grief and depression.

Therapeutic Touch is included in the curriculum of many university nursing programs and practiced in hospitals, hospices and health care facilities.

All treatments are given by Martha Hoey, a Recognized Therapeutic Touch Practitioner for the past 30 years. Special arrangements can be made for palliative or extended care patients. Emergency treatments will be given high priority.

All enquiries and appointments are confidential. To book your session, contact the Centre at info@elmtreecentre.com or call 519-823-5847.
